 HERSIENE WATER BEPERKINGS 07 / 12 / 2009

Kennis geskied hiermee dat die Raad van George ingevolge Artikel 184 (1) van die Munisipale Ordonansie, 1974 (Ordonansie 20 van 1974), die onderstaande water beperkings vir die George Munisipale area hersien het.

1.     Die natmaak van tuine word net toegelaat wanneer eie water gebruik word. Gebruik van Munisipale skoon water word verbied.

2.     Die besproeiing en natmaak van alle sportvelde word verbied.

3.     Die was van voertuie met Munisipale skoon water word verbied. Sake ondernemings moet aansoek doen om kwytskelding van hierdie verbod.

4.     Die skoonmaak van enige harde oppervlak met Munisipale skoon water word verbied.

5.     Die vul van swembaddens word verbied.

U aandag word ook op die volgende gevestig:

Enige persoon wat bovermelde beperkings oortree, is by skuldigbevinding strafbaar met ‘n boete van hoogstens R1000 of ses maande gevangenisstraf.

Indien u van eie water byvoorbeeld boorgat water of van ‘n opgaartenk gebruik maak, moet u ‘n duidelike, toepaslike kennisgewing op die perseel vertoon, soos “EIE WATER”.

 REVISED WATER RESTRICTIONS 07 / 12 / 2009

Notice is hereby given that the Council of George has, in terms of section 184(1) of the Municipal Ordinance, 1974 (Ordinance 20 of 1974), revised the undermentioned water restrictions for the George Municipal Area.

1.     The watering of gardens is only permissible with own water.  Use of potable municipal water is prohibited.

2.     The irrigation or watering of all sports fields is prohibited.

3.     The washing of vehicles with potable municipal water is prohibited.  Commercial enterprises to apply for exemption to this restriction.

4.     The cleaning of ANY hardened surface with potable municipal water is prohibited.

5.     The filling of swimming pools are prohibited.

Your attention is also directed to the following:

Any person who contravenes these restrictions is guilty of an offence and is, upon conviction, liable to a fine not exceeding R1 000,00 or six months imprisonment.

If you are using own water from a borehole or reservoir, you must display an appropriate clear notice on the premises, eg “OWN WATER”.

1.     Ukunkcenkceshelwa kwezitiya kuvunyelwa ngamanzi akho kuphela.  Ukusetyenziswa kwamanzi alungele ukuselwa kamasipala kuyathintelwa.

2.     Ukunkcenkceshelwa kwawo onke amabala emidlalo kuyathintelwa.

3.     Ukuhlanjwa kweenqwelo ngamanzi alungele ukuselwa kamasipala kuyathintelwa.

Amashishini orhwebo kumele enze isicelo sokukhululwa kwezi sithintelo.

4.     Ukucocwa kwawo NAWUPHINA umgangatho oqinileyo ngamanzi alungele ukuselwa kamasipala kuyathintelwa.

5.     Ukuzaliswa kwamadama okuqubha kuyathintelwa.

Nawuphina umntu owaphula ezi zithintelo unetyala lokona kwaye akugwetywa, uyakuba nemfanelo yesohlwayo esingadlulanga kwi- R1 000 okanye ukufakwa entolongweni   iinyanga ezintandathu.

Ukuba usebenzisa amanzi akho avela kumngxuma         wesitsala- manzi okanye kwitanki lamanzi emvula, kumele ubonise ngesaziso esicacileyo            nesifanelekileyo kwisakhiwo kunye nomhlaba             waso, umz “AMANZI AM”.
