| GEORGE MUNISIPALITEIT ONDERBREKING VAN DIE ELEKTRIESE TOEVOER SONDAG 21 FEBRUARIE 10 VANAF 06h00 TOT 18h00 Alle George Munisipale elektriese kragverbruikers, met uitsondering van Wildernis, Hoekwil en omgewing, word hiermee in kennis gestel dat die kragtoevoer vir 12 ure gedeeltelik onderbreek sal word op SONDAG 21 FEBRUARIE 2010 VANAF 06h00 TOT 18h00 om oorhoofse lyne aan die nuwe 66 000 Volt substasies onder konstruksie te verbind. Ons is jammer oor die ongerief aan ons verbruikers, wat onvermydelik is aangesien die hooftoevoerlyne na George uit diens geneem sal moet word om die werk veilig te kan verrig. Die beperkte toevoer na George sal gebruik word om essensiële dienste, soos rioolinstallasies met krag te voorsien. GEORGE MUNICIPALITY INTERRUPTION OF THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 10 FROM 06h00 to 18h00 All George Municipal electricity consumers, with the exception of Wilderness, Hoekwil and surrounds, are notified that the electricity supply will be partially interrupted for 12 hours on SUNDAY 21 FEBRUARY 2010 FROM 06h00 TO 18h00 for deviation of overhead lines to the new 66 000 volt substations. We regret the inconvenience to our consumers, which is unavoidable as the main incoming supply lines to George have to be taken out of service so that the work can be done safely. A limited supply of electricity will be available in George that will be used to maintain a supply to critical areas such as water and sewerage installations. The supply to some customers connected to these critical networks will not be affected for the entire period. We would emphasize that the new substation capacity is essential to meet the rapidly growing demand for electricity in George. As the power may be restored before 18h00, or the limited supply could be distributed to other areas, consumers are warned to treat their supply as live at all times. Due to anticipated difficulties with restoring power supplies from cold, this will be done one area at a time. However, overload tripping may still occur and consumers are asked to assist by switching off non-essential electrical equipment until the supply network has stabilized.
