postheadericon COMMUNITY SOCCER AWARENESS DAY AT ROSEMOOR STADIUM ON FREEDOM DAY

A community soccer awareness campaign is planned for April 27 at Rosemoor stadium, where students have been invited to ‘paint’ the walls of the stadium in colourful murals with the help of sketches that will be provided by the George 2010 soccer coordinators.

Families are urged to come and enjoy the day at Rosemoor stadium.

postheadericon MUNICIPALITIES SUPPORT FOOTBALL FRIDAYS

STAFF from municipalities in the Southern Cape will join George municipality staff on Friday April 30 for an inter-municipality soccer sports day at Rosemoor Stadium to celebrate the upcoming 2010 Soccer World Cup.

A procession of vehicles will leave George municipality at 10:00 for Rosemoor stadium.

Executive mayor Mercia Draghoender will open the games with a speech at 12:00.

The sports day is open to the public, who are encouraged to come and support the teams.
