IRB Sevens World Series
The IRB has announced
the dates and teams for the first two events of the 2007/08 IRB Sevens
World Series.
Once again, the World
Series will kick off with the Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens on November
30 to December 1 2007, to be played for the last time at the Dubai
Exiles RFC ground.
A week later the
teams will take the now familiar route to George in South Africa, where
the Outeniqua Park Stadium will host the Emirates Airline South Africa
Sevens on December 7-8.
One notable change is
the inclusion this season of Wales as a core team to feature in every
event, while the USA make a rare appearance in the two opening
tournaments after a strong showing last season.
"After another
record-breaking year in 2006/07 in terms of broadcast and attendance
we're all looking forward to seeing more action, more tries and more new
stars burst onto the scene this season," said IRB Sevens Manager Beth
Coalter.
